WJU Admissions Portal — Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 2026-07-06 · admissions-terms-v1.0
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Washington Jabez University (WJU) Admissions Portal to prepare, submit, and track your application for admission. By creating an account, checking the acceptance box, or otherwise using the Portal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal.
1. Purpose of the Portal
The Admissions Portal is provided by WJU for prospective students to complete an application for admission, upload required supporting documents, pay the application fee, and check the status of their application. It is not a general-purpose file storage service and should be used only for admissions-related purposes.
2. Account Responsibility
You must use your own account to apply. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You may not create or submit an application on behalf of another person, or allow another person to use your account, without WJU's written permission.
3. Accuracy of Information
You certify that all information and documents you submit are true, complete, and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Providing false information, omitting material facts, or submitting falsified or altered documents may result in denial of admission, revocation of an offer of admission, or dismissal after enrollment, at WJU's discretion.
4. Electronic Consent and Signature
By checking a consent box, clicking "Submit," uploading a document, or otherwise confirming an action in the Portal, you are providing an electronic signature or consent that has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature. You agree that WJU may keep an electronic record of these actions, including the date and time they occurred.
5. Application Statuses
Your application will move through the following statuses as you and WJU staff take action: Draft (in progress, not yet submitted — you may edit or delete freely), Awaiting Payment (submitted; the application fee has not yet been confirmed), Pending (fee confirmed and required documents may still be uploaded), Reviewing (under admissions review), Revision Requested (WJU has asked you to correct or add information before review continues), Approved / Conditional Approved / Rejected (a decision has been made), and Canceled. Once an application leaves Draft status, most profile fields can no longer be edited by you; if a correction is needed, contact the Admissions Office.
6. Application Fee and Payment
A non-refundable application fee (currently $100 USD, subject to change) is collected after you submit your application, before it moves to Reviewing status. Payment is currently accepted via Zelle; other payment methods may be added in the future and will be reflected on the payment screen at the time you pay. Fee waivers, where available, must be approved by the Admissions Office in advance. Refund and other financial policies are described on the WJU Tuition & Fees page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
7. Document Submission
You are responsible for providing applicant-uploadable documents (such as identification and required supporting records) in the format and manner specified in the Portal. Official Transcripts must be sent directly by the issuing institution, and recommendations must be submitted directly by the recommender through WJU’s secure request process. WJU staff review applicant-uploaded documents and may mark them Approved or Rejected; rejected uploadable documents must be corrected and re-uploaded. Do not upload documents that are not yours, that you do not have the right to submit, or that contain malicious files.
8. Authorization to Verify
By submitting your application, you authorize WJU to contact the schools, churches, ministry organizations, employers, and individuals you have identified, in order to verify the information, transcripts, recommendations, and other documents you have submitted.
9. No Guarantee of Admission
Submitting an application and paying the application fee does not guarantee admission, and does not create any right to enrollment. Admission decisions are made at WJU's sole discretion based on its published requirements and policies.
10. Communications
WJU will communicate with you about your application primarily by email and through in-Portal notifications, and may also contact you by phone. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current and for regularly checking the email address and Portal account associated with your application.
11. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: attempt to access another applicant's account or data; probe, scan, or attempt to bypass the security of the Portal; upload viruses or malicious code; or submit fraudulent, forged, or knowingly false information or documents. Violation of this section may result in denial or revocation of admission and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
12. System Availability
The Portal may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances outside WJU's control. WJU is not responsible for application delays caused by such unavailability, though it will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and accommodate affected applicants.
13. Changes to These Terms
WJU may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version number and effective date on this page. Continued use of the Portal after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you submit or resubmit an application after a change, you will be asked to reconfirm your acceptance.
14. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which WJU is located, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you have questions about these Terms or your application, please contact the WJU Admissions Office.
