Develop practical skills in arranging and adapting music to suit the specific resources of a local congregation.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted into the Graduate Diploma in Church Music program at Washington Jabez University, Applicants must meet the following spiritual and academic standards to be considered for admission.

Spiritual Qualifications

  • Personal experience of regeneration and water baptism.
  • Confirmed sense of calling to Christian ministry and music.
  • Active involvement in a local church or Christian community.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Application Materials

  • Application form & fee.
  • Official Transcripts & Diploma.
  • Personal Essay detailing spiritual journey and ministry vision.
  • Reference Letters (at least two).
  • One recent digital photograph.
  • A valid government-issued photo identification document
  • Passport and applicable immigration or residency documents(for Residents Outside the United States).
  • Required personal interview.
  • Audition or audition recording appropriate to the intended concentration.

Graduation Requirements

To qualify for the Graduate Diploma in Church Music, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Credit Hours: Completion of 21 semester units.
  • Minimum GPA: Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Residency: Complete all 21 semester credits required for the Graduate Diploma in Church Music through Washington Jabez University.
  • Graduation Recital / Project: Complete the graduation recital or project required for the selected concentration.
  • General Requirements: Complete all other University graduation requirements.
  • Clearance: Complete all financial and administrative requirements, including payment of the graduation fee.
