Biblical Interpretation

Interpret Old and New Testament texts using sound hermeneutical principles, historical context, and introductory biblical-language tools.

Theological Understanding

Articulate a coherent evangelical theological framework and present a reasoned defense of the Christian faith.

Preaching and Ministry

Prepare and deliver biblically faithful sermons and apply foundational leadership skills in church and ministry settings.

Pastoral Care

Apply biblical principles and foundational counseling knowledge in pastoral care, discipleship, and interpersonal conflict.

Missions and Cultural Engagement

Analyze major religious and cultural contexts and apply appropriate evangelistic and cross-cultural ministry strategies.

Christian Education

Design and deliver biblically grounded teaching appropriate to the age, context, and spiritual development of learners.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted into the Bachelor of Theology program at Washington Jabez University, Applicants must meet the following spiritual and academic standards to be considered for admission.

Academic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • English language proficiency, if English is not the applicant's first language.

Spiritual & Character Qualifications

  • Personal testimony of Christian faith and spiritual maturity.
  • Active participation in a local church or Christian community.

Application Materials

  • Application for Admission and non-refundable application fee.
  • Official high school transcript and proof of graduation or recognized equivalent.
  • Spiritual Journey and Ministry Vision Essay.
  • One letter of recommendation from a pastor or educator.
  • One recent digital photograph.
  • A valid government-issued photo identification document.
  • Passport and applicable immigration or residency documents(for Residents Outside the United States).
  • Required personal interview.

Graduation Requirements

To qualify for the Bachelor of Theology degree, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Credit Hours: Complete all required courses and earn 120 semester credits.
  • Minimum GPA: Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Residency Requirement: Complete at least 25 percent of the degree requirements through Washington Jabez University.
  • Bible Comprehensive Exam: Pass with at least 100 out of 150.
  • Exit Interview: Complete an exit interview with designated faculty.
  • General Requirements: Complete all other University graduation requirements.
  • Clearance: Complete all financial and administrative requirements, including payment of the graduation fee.
